Daimaru Super Co., Ltd. (now ARCS Co., Ltd.) was established at 716 Minami 13-jo Nishi 9-chome, Sapporo (capital stock: 5 million yen) for the purpose of retailing fresh foods.​

Head office relocated to Omagari, Hiroshima Village, Sapporo District, Hokkaido. Changed the trade name to Daimaru Sangyo Co., Ltd.

Company name changed to Daimaru Super Co., Ltd.

With the introduction of CI, the store name was changed from Daimaru Super to Fretty Daimaru.​

Invested 20% of capital share in Ichimaru Co., Ltd. (head office: Obihiro City, Hokkaido) and made it an affiliated company.

Got 90% capital participation in Home Store Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Muroran City, Hokkaido) and made it a subsidiary.

Changed the trade name to ARCS Co., Ltd. and transformed to a pure holding company through a company split (company spin off date: November 1, 2002).​
On the same day, Ralse Co., Ltd. was established to take over all business operations through a company spin off.​
On the same day, Fukuhara Co., Ltd. (head office: Obihiro City, Hokkaido) became a 100% owned subsidiary by a stock exchange.
